In his 16 year long, much decorated stint at HCLT ISD; Sri has conceptualized and launched many of HCLT ISD’s business practices from the very scratch. Amongst the biggest of them was the conceptualization and execution of Remote Infrastructure Management Services that would eventually lead to the formation of a large Indian Infrastructure Outsourcing industry and HCL achieving a dominant leadership position in that industry due to Sri’s pioneering efforts. This Industry that was pioneered by Sri is today estimated by McKinsey-NASSCOM to be a $15bn opportunity by 2013 for Indian IT Industry alone.
Prior to that Sri formulated many similar disruptive value propositions like Satellite Communication, Web Management and Network Management Services in the 90s for HCL which were the firsts not only for the company but the Indian IT Industry at large. In his pursuit of these path-breaking propositions Sri and his team created many IPs for the company with tools like ‘India Internet Index’, ‘Router Manage.com’, ‘Smart Manage’ and ‘myDashboard’.
Sri is widely respected as one of the most formidable voices in the IT Operations space. He has spoken at many prestigious Industry platforms and continues to be invited and included in the Indian & North American IT Industry’s thought leadership interventions and initiatives.
Harvard Business School’s (HBS) High Potentials Leadership Program often invites Sri to speak at their leadership development course on behalf of HCL. This leadership development course is designed for high-impact or fast-track individuals who have more than 10 years of experience in product and service companies. Sri has also been a guest speaker at HBS’s General Management Program.
He is a member of HCL T ISD’s ‘Executive Management Board’ and continues to be an ambassador and mentor for next gen leaders in the company.

Aside from work, Sri is passionate about the Green cause. Currently he leads HCL’s ProSeed initiative, which promotes the cause of bio diversity conservation and forestation. In December 08-January 09, the ProSeed group under Sri’s able guidance, led a very successful campaign to plant rare and endangered species of trees. The campaign saw many of HCL customers too joining hands with ProSeed to plant endemic, medicinal, oilseed bearing globally endangered species in the state of Maharashtra in India (Ratnagiri - Lat 16° 58’ 48’’ and Long 73° 18’0’’).
Apart from ProSeed, Sri has also played a key architect and thought leadership role in shaping HCL’s ‘Green IT’ agenda and initiatives. For example, the company’s soon to be opened Datacenter facility in New Jersey, a first-of-its kind ‘green-aligned’ facility, is a project that Sri has led from the front.
In his early career, Sri led the cause for SPIC MACAY – a non-profit organization for promoting Indian Classical Music amongst Youth in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and briefly, nationally.
Sri resides in Flemington, New Jersey with his wife and two sons. His hobbies include playing flute and Carnatic music. Sri is also a ‘Green Belt’ Taekwondo pro and is a deft foot on the hockey field, having been the Captain of his college hockey team.
