Rajiv Swarup works as Sr. Corporate Vice President & Chief Customer Officer (Strategic Accounts) in HCL Technologies Ltd. He is in charge of a few US based Strategic Accounts. He has been with HCL Technologies for over 12 years. Before taking up the current role Rajiv headed Ecosystem & Business Incubation (EBI) group of HCL Technologies. In 12 years with HCL he has worked in different senior positions including Head of Industry Solutions LOB for 3 years and then heading the BPO Division for a year.
Prior to joining HCL Technologies, for three years he was the CEO of a 50:50 JV company between Modi Group of India and IPC Corp. of Singapore. The JV was involved in manufacturing and selling IT and Telecom products and system integration in the Indian market.
Rajiv has over 35+ years of rich and diverse experience in the IT and Telecom sectors. He started his career in computer R&D with the Data Products Division of DCM in mid 70’s and then moved on to head the Production unit of DCM. Subsequently he moved to a newly formed Joint Venture Company Modi Olivetti where he was responsible for setting up their manufacturing plant as a green field project and then run it. His career profile has been very diverse and has included R&D, manufacturing, procurement, project management, business development, creating joint ventures and setting up several green field projects.
Rajiv is an expert in industrial engineering and manufacturing processes. He is certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Rajiv has an engineering degree from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from the University of Delhi.
