HCL @ Farnborough Event 2008
Farnborough International Airshow is the biggest, most internationally attended aerospace event in the world - a globally renowned showcase of aerospace equipment and technology. It provides the perfect venue for the world's civil and military aerospace suppliers and their customers to meet and discuss, finalise and announce their business transactions.
This year - HCL made a significant investment in the event with the hire of a chalet and a booth in the main exhibition hall. It has allowed us to showcase our capabilities as never before. HCL was at chalet A26 on 14-18 July 2008.
The chalet opening was inaugurated by a top level Indian government delegation which included Pradeep Kumar, Secretary Defence Production and Air Marshal Browne, Deputy Chief Of Air Staff. It was a great honor to receive these guests at the HCL chalet.
The team conducted over 70 meetings in the 4 primary days of the event with various groups of customers, prospects and partners. We reached out to the major OEMs and Tier 1 companies as well as a number of smaller niche organizations which are heading towards India for high caliber engineering service support - and the response we have received has been very encouraging.
At the event HCL specifically addresses the aerospace industry's key pressure points - increasing complexity, decreasing profitability and shrinking workforce - which through its transformational relationships and engineering expertise, has been able to deliver outstanding results and showcases HCL's main areas of expertise which are avionics and engineering design in R&D and IT consolidation in enterprise IT.
Besides HCL's new engineering solutions and partnerships at the event, HCL talks about the growing importance of India in the aerospace sector and how offshoring can impact a customer’s profitability by innovative risk sharing business models, cost reduction through integrated services and shortened time to market through processes, frameworks, tools and flexible sourcing.
