Step Up IT Transformation Framework
Step Up IT Transformation is Self-Funding Approach. Since, Sourcing is HCL’s business, so most of the transformational engagement begin with/ are executed using this approach.

HCL engages with a customer in Phase 1 by defining Sourcing Strategy (Process, Apps., Infra). The outcome of this phase is identification of quick-wins along with detailed Sourcing agenda. Focus of this phase is rationalizing operational costs.
The savings derived from Phase 1 are re-invested into transformation initiatives of Phase 2. The initiatives are in the area of Application Portfolio Consolidation, Defining IT Governance roadmap and revisiting IT strategy. The outcome of Phase 2 is long=term IT roadmap and projects identified to align IT portfolio with business requirements. Focus of this phase is deriving business process flexibility.
The savings derived from Phase 2 are re-invested in to Phase 3 for further transformation activities like APO, Architecture Engineering, KM, APM, etc. Focus of this phase is Business-IT alignment.
Vision to Value Framework
Our Vision to Value Framework is focused on pure IT Consulting engagements.

Phase 1 starts with definition of IT Strategy with a key focus on business-IT alignment. The deliverable of same is a long-term IT Roadmap and tactical initiatives to be undertaken immediately. Net outcome is a Vision for IT organization.
Phase 2 kicks off with defining IT Governance Roadmap (associated initiatives, tools, plan, etc), BPR initiative and Information Architecture Design initiatives. Deliverable of the same is Effective Governance Roadmap along with PPM Tools. Net outcome is Value carving initiatives for the organization. Focus area is agility and flexibility of IT department with business needs.
Phase 3 involves APO, APM, Security Consulting and KM initiatives, which are focussed on continuous efficiency improvement.
