In fact, our “Employees First” philosophy is aimed at placing every employee at the forefront of transformation, empowering them with knowledge, resources and infrastructure in a workplace that nurtures innovation.

One such initiative designed to enthuse and enrich is the Employee Councils.

Employee Councils

The Employee Councils is an integral part of our culture. It provides a unique platform for you to lead change at HCL along with other likeminded Ideapreneurs.
There are two distinct councils, Chargers and Employees First Council that uses a multi-dimensional approach to anchor organizational change and development.
  • Chargers: Chargers, as the name suggests, enables Ideapreneurs pursue their interests in sports, health and wellness, photography, dance and music, knowledge, and problem solving. Chargers support these interest groups by creating virtual networks as well as physical platforms for nurturing talent and connecting Ideapreneurs across locations.
  • Employees First Council: As we continue to grow, members who represent the voice of HCL drive the Employees First Council and contribute to shaping change and anchoring transformation. The council works closely with the HR teams in their locations to co-create people practices that are distinctive and aligned to the EFCS strategic model. Using virtual online networks and physical platforms, they help provide inputs to define and anchor initiatives to ensure that every Ideapreneur understands our beliefs, promises, intentions, and actions.
An additional employee resource group to harness the potential of generational diversity across the organization is:
  • Youthopia: This group helps integrate and enable learning across the workforce mix and focus on the diversity of information, insights and ideas available with Ideapreneurs of different generations. The members of this group help others understand and appreciate their generation’s culture and its defining characteristics. All Ideapreneurs can be a part of Youthopia.
