Customer Need
The customer acquired another insurance company to complement its existing credit life operations. The acquired company had ten applications in ADABAS/NATURAL. The client wanted to migrate these applications out of this environment to avoid the cost of maintaining these legacy technologies.
- Finalization of target environment with the customer
- Target Environment: Windows NT, Windows 95/98, Oracle 8.0.6, Visual Basic 6.0, Crystal Reports 8.0
- Migration of 10 applications (Batch and Online) from the existing ADABAS/NATURAL environment to the target Oracle/Visual Basic environment
- Conversion of the database, data and applications within the agreed timeframe

- Analysis of inventory of the applications to be converted
- Pre-conversion testing (baseline testing) of the applications based on the client-determined test plans
