What is 'Explore & Transform'?

'Explore and Transform' is not just a conference but a meeting of minds and fusion of cultures. The Meet was ideated in February 2006 with the objective to 'Explore' the prevailing challenges and opportunities of technology business and discuss new ways of applying technology to 'Transform' the way world do business. The intent was to come up with a platform where some of the world's best business minds can converge and discuss on the present and futuristic challenges and opportunities in a unique, friendly, and presentation-free environment that help express and garner the experiences.

Since its inception, HCL has successfully hosted three Global Customer Meets with an increasingly overwhelming response each time from all those who graced the occasion.

What makes 'Explore and Transform' really unique?

'Explore &Transform' is not just a progressive event, or conference but a culture that HCL embraces and holds pride in. The first of its kinds in India, the conference attracts one of the largest gatherings of senior level IT Buyers and Practitioners, Analysts, and Academics. It also provides an opportunity to get practitioner-led insights on some of the burning topics of IT landscape in a presentation-free and open discussion format. Sharing the real experiences of their Transformation journey, the practitioners from HCL shares the real experiences of their Transformation journey.

The discussion tracks - Sourcing, Technology, and New World - are designed around specific interests that give an opportunity to get insights on almost everything related to IT outsourcing. 'Sourcing' focuses on the supply side of offshoring from cost arbitrage and access to talent pool to Value addition and Differeniation. 'Technology' emphasizes on the innovation - from transforming business processes to emerging trends in the market place. 'New World' brings an insight on the socio-economic, cultural, and political factors of the business.

The Meet is not just about exploring business and trends, but it also gives an opportunity to explore India in its true sense. Cultural events and mesmerizing evening entertainment are an essential part of the two day event, making it a complete experience.

History

February 2006 was when everyone saw the genesis of a concept called HCL Global Meet - 'Explore & Transform'. The objective was to provide a platform to showcase and discuss new ways of applying technology to transform business. This Meet was conceptualized to 'Explore' the burning challenges of the IT sector. This unique event, the first of its kind in India in the IT space, was held in New Delhi in February 2006. 180 CIO's from leading global companies came together in an atmosphere of friendship, and laid the roadmap for the future.

The second 'Explore & Transform' was held on 6-7th December 2006 - this time in Agra. The canvas became bigger and better, the meet aimed at addressing larger issues that face businesses today. The meet was about Transformation - about Collaboration vs. Isolation; about Participation vs. Control; about Closed Door vs. Open Source. Over 250 leading global players from over 20 diverse industries across the globe got together to brainstorm on topics that are relevant today - Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Managing Cultural Diversity, IT Security, Change management, Business Transformation, Technology Transformation and many more More than 40 powerful speakers created magic when they discussed the topics with customers, key influencers, policy makers and other participants.

Third Explore & Transform extended the heritage of the previous two 'Explore & Transform' events in much broader and splendid manner. The Taj Palace Hotel at Delhi on 29-30th October 2007 witnessed one of the biggest events any company ever organized for its customers - where some of the major business leaders agreed, debated, and contradicted on some of the burning and relevant issues of the technology business. The theme of this unique event has gone one step further - 'Collaborative Transformation'. More than 300 CXOs from the leading global companies came together and extended the foundation for the way to future that was laid in the previous two events.
