HCL provides transition services to various clients through these transition specialists. We have transitioned various complex and business critical processes offshore to client's captives and third party service providers. We ensure seamless transition by understanding Business Criticality, applying a Robust Governance Model and effective risk mitigation. HCL has over 110+ transition specialists currently in the academy.

ARMORTM - Transition and Project Management Framework
ARMORTM is our proprietary Transition & Project Management framework that follows a phased approach. The framework has five phases namely Assessment, Resolution, Migration, Operations and Relationship that cut across five tracks namely Management, People, Process, Technology and Infrastructure.
The framework has appropriate tollgates at each phase that ensures smooth transition into the next phase. The 5x5 matrix structure of Phases Vs Tracks pre defines Roles, Responsibilities, Action points, Risk Assessment and Mitigation strategies for each of the phases.
ARMORTM is a well tested framework that has evolved over time by adapting itself to the market needs and is currently at its 4th Generation.
HCL created the basic ARMORTM framework for transitioning BPO operations. Recognizing the need to customize it to the Banking and Capital Markets Domain, ARMORTM transformed to its 2nd Generation to suit Banking and Capital Markets space.
In the 3rd Generation of ARMORTM we incorporated 'Prescriptive Methodology' of knowledge capture that would capture the process knowledge at a key stroke level.
As the industry matured, HCL recognized the need to use 6 sigma tools and do process re-engineering not only at post transition stage but also at pre-transition stages depending on process complexity and regulatory requirements.
In Capital Markets Space, we have successfully transitioned over 200 processes involving over 250 applications and 1000+ personnel in niche domains using ARMORTM.
