HCL is involved with projects of national importance to Malaysia. Government of Malaysia has taken a big step towards making huge volumes of procurement automated. This eProcurement project is named as ePerolehan and HCL takes pride in its association with it. This flagship application web enables all government procurement activities.

Another initiative taken up by Malaysian Government is their 'Government-to-Citizen' portal, called as eServices. Another project is for operating system porting for the Linux PC through DRB Hicom.

HCL successfully executed the first SAP CRM implementation done outside Europe. This was for a leading Bank in Malaysia and was spread over three phases - Sales Force Automation, Call Center implementation and CRM Marketing. This also resulted in Best CRM implementation award for HCL. HCL has been awarded with the Best Business Intelligence Solution of the Year 2003 - for the bank’s Data Warehousing project.
