HCL at WEF

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

Incorporated as a foundation in 1971, and based in Geneva, Switzerland, the World Economic Forum is impartial and not-for-profit; it is tied to no political, partisan or national interests.

HCL started it’s engagement with WEF as a regional partner in April 2007 and within two years, it stepped up the ladder of partnership to first become the industry partners and then the Strategic Partners – the highest level of the partnership engagement.

Open to only a select group of the world’s 100 leading global companies, Strategic Partnership engages the most engrossed Member companies, providing essential leadership in support of the Forum’s mission. Strategic Partners are the driving force in the Forum’s activities and communities. They are actively involved in the decision-making and shaping of initiatives, projects and task forces on the global, regional and industry levels. They also provide intellectual guidance through the participation of their most senior executives on steering boards and advisory groups.

Through the involvement in various projects, communities and initiatives run by the World Economic Forum, HCL as a strategic partner has been instrumental is collaborating to the Forum’s mission of “Improving the state of the World”.
