The Challenge
To reduce application support costs using the onsite-offshore model, thereby enabling the client to re-deploy its own resources for internal roll-out of the ‘EPIC’ suite
- HCL, along with the client, jointly chose three pilot applications as a proof-of-concept for the offshore delivery model. The client billed the pilot “a success”.
- The client trusted several applications to HCL for maintenance.
- HCL currently provides production support and application maintenance to about 30 applications through multiple onsite client facilities, as well as offshore.
- All applications are in their steady-state support phases after completion of the knowledge transfer phase
