HCL has a small, but important inclusion in the latest InformationWeek cover story on GM(attached here, with HCL portion highlighted in yellow on page 5), and its new evolving strategy around IT outsourcing under new CIO Randy Mott. Under this strategy, GM is executing upon a sweeping overall of its IT operations. Under what InformationWeek’s Chris Murphy calls a “high risk” strategy, most IT work will be done in-house as GM reduces its reliance upon outsourcing partners.
