HCL Further Expands Latin American Operations In Brazil, Mexico and Argentina With More Planned By 2013

São Paulo, April 23, 2010 - HCL Technologies Ltd. (HCL), a leading global IT services provider, celebrates the achievements of its first year of operations in Brazil. HCL's Brazilian subsidiary expects to mirror HCL's industry leading growth in other parts of the World through organic growth, acquisitions and expansion of operations in Latin America, which have already begun in Mexico and Argentina. HCL's Latin American expansion is expected to play a strategic role for the global growth of HCL.

Currently, HCL has facilities in Sao Paulo, Rio and Sao Leopoldo, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Mexico City, Mexico. These facilities are staffed with more than 150 employees and growing. In the short term, the company's goals are to gradually increase the service portfolio, with the launch of infrastructure services in Brazil planned in mid May. This will be followed by HCL Axon's leading SAP solutions in the second quarter to address the large SAP Customer base in Brazil and creation of a center of excellence for retail sector specific solutions, such as Retek, to expand HCL's increasing retail customer base in Brazil. HCL already counts a large number of multi-national customers in Brazil among its infrastructure and application development services customers and is planning to strengthen the line of infrastructure management services as well as doubling its capacity for these service lines in the existing delivery center in São Leopoldo (RS).

The company has also been working on the strengthening of its commercial and executive teams as a part of its expansion plans. The company has just hired Silvio Passos, Stefanini's former Vice President, to be HCL's Operations and Delivery General Manager as well as a number of leading executives in the commercial arena to reinforce its team in Brazil and the Latin American region overall. "I am happy to join HCL in its expansion journey in Brazil, leading its operations and delivery areas. I am looking forward to bringing the best practices from HCL globally to add value to our Brazilian customers," said Silvio Passos, delivery general manager, HCL Brazil. Silvio will be based out of Sao Leopoldo where he will be leading the HCL Brazil delivery centers in São Leopoldo (RS) and Sao Paulo.

Throughout 2009, the company signed contracts with more than 8 clients, three of them are global contracts and the remaining are local contracts. HCL also established a delivery center in São Leopoldo (RS), expanded its office in Sao Paulo and is extending its Global Partnerships such as Oracle, EMC, BMC etc. in the region.

"As one of the first customers of HCL Brazil, it has been a pleasure to build this partnership locally. Today we can say Lojas Renner is benefiting from both the global scale of HCL and the energy and fast growth of HCL Brazil. We strongly believe HCL Brazil has all the conditions to become one of the main centers of HCL worldwide," said Leandro Balbinot, director of IT and processes, Lojas Renner.

HCL is participating in the leading IT event in Brazil IT Forum and will be showcasing its solutions and services roadmap for the Brazilian market in this event attended by the key IT executives in Brazil.
