After a review process by the steering committee of AMQP, HCL was selected as the pre-eminent voice from the IT services industry. HCL’s participation in the working group supports collaboration and interoperability through the delivery of open, extensible solutions that enable customers to build a foundation for future infrastructure demands, while meeting contemporary messaging requirements. By collaborating on the multiple specifications for infrastructure, the group will ultimately provide businesses with a simple and powerful way of connecting messaging-dependent applications within the enterprise as well as with external partners.

“HCL is committed to assisting in the creation of the  AMQP messaging standard.  This new industry option will  help to lower costs and will allow messaging within the enterprise and outside the corporate infrastructure,” said Vikram Duvvoori, Executive Vice President at HCL Technologies. “We have tremendous knowledge and experience working with numerous messaging and middleware platform technologies. By joining the AMQP Working Group we will now have the opportunity to cross-pollinate with some of the best minds focused on the issue to help bring AMQP messaging to the marketplace faster.”

"HCL has a rich and proven history of innovation in the middleware market with particular strengths in software development and testing," said Matthew Arrott, CTO of TWIST Process Innovations, Ltd. "Their involvement in the AMQP Working Group will strengthen our collective efforts and help advance the next generation of AMQP standards."

AMQP Working Group members work closely together toward the common goal of an open capable standard for message oriented middleware which enables the communications necessary for business processes.
