Electrical Engineering Services

HCL's electrical design services portfolio provides services in the areas of PCB design, testing and validation, reliability engineering, VLSI design, and analog design. We have the capability of designing PCB's of up to 22 layers, with a maximum bus speed of 800MHz, 3.2 GHz signal traces, and a high pin density of 350+ pins/sq.in. We are also capable of designing low power circuits, high voltage power electronics circuits, and flex PCB's.

Our services include

PCB design - Hardware architecture design, PCB layout, DFX analysis, and SI analysis

Testing and validation - Board bring-up, board diagnostics development; design, validation and testing; and test automation

Reliability engineering - Worst case analysis, reliability prediction, and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)

VLSI design - SoC design, FPGA/ASIC design, and physical design

Analog design - Power supply design, signal conditioning circuit design, filter design, and high voltage and power electronics circuit design

What We’ve Done For Others

  • For a leading NAS vendor, HCL’s servers and storage engineering unit was involved in L3 support, performance improvement, and sustenance for a core module. HCL helped the client reduce the test cycle and identify defects not found otherwise. This led to an improvement in CSAT.
  • For a storage and data management solutions provider, HCL helped achieve a TTM advantage of 2 months by working on 2 releases in parallel. We streamlined the QA processes and significantly reduced the testing cost through automation. The resource ramp up time was also reduced to half.
  • For a storage interconnect vendor, HCL owns development and release of a software and also for a majority of the firmware. Through our services, we helped reduce sustenance cost was by about 33% and the advanced a key product release by 2.5 months.
