Project Description

  • Our customer had the requirement of developing three different versions of a HiFi car audio system, each intended for a different variant of the car.
  • This Hi-Fi car audio had to include a Tuner (AM, FM, RDS), CD / MP3 mechanisms, CD changer (5CDC, 10CDC), Convergence sources (USB supported Media Player, Phone, Voice, Navigation), Audio DSP, Power Amplifier and Hi-Fi amplifier.
 

HCL Role

  • HCL took on completion of the entire embedded software development which has the application layer, the abstraction layer and necessary communication drivers for the CD Mechanism, CD Changer, MP3 Audio Codec, Tuner and DSP Software based on the TMS470 32-bit platform. Software developed was compliant to MISRAcoding guidelines.

  • TMS470VFR1288 and TMS470VFR1688 Micro controllers
  • Code  composer  studio  for  compiling  and  Lauterbach  Trace  32  for debugging.
  • MISRAQAC Tool for static code verification
  • Vector tools like CANoe
