A leading pan-Asian conglomerate operating under well known local brands including supermarkets, hypermarkets, health and beauty stores, convenience stores, and home furnishing stores.

The Challenge

  • In order to satisfy its ambitious growth plans, Dairy Farm has been looking for means to increase its revenue in increasingly competitive market.
  • One of the ways to do so was to engage in promotions for its stores and it wanted to enhance its existing MMDS system to incorporate this promotion requirement.

HCL’s Solution
HCLT provided an enhancement to the existing MMDS application to cater to the promotion requirement. The promotions created in MMDS are downloaded to interface files (text files) which in turn can be uploaded to POS. The promotion functionalities supported are:

  • Range and Transaction
  • Media Discount
  • Mix and Match
  • Quantity Discount
  • Receipt Coupon and Redemption
