An airline can offer rebates or promotions through mobile coupons to targeted customers, enabling them to redeem the coupons at their convenience. These rebates or offers can be bar-coded or NFC-based mobile coupons. Customers can view and save these mobile coupons according to their interest onto their smartphone for later use. The coupons can be redeemed at any select outlet where the offer is valid by presenting the coupons stored in the phone.
