Many progressive enterprises have already embarked on this journey. With time, it will be the norm instead of the exception. As per industry experts, 96% of millennials are already on social network and 90% the consumer decisions are said to be influenced by the digital media. Besides, the Cloud is forcing organizations to change the application architectures. The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) phenomenon is slowly reshaping the way IT is delivered, managed and secured. - from data security to data privacy,
- from user training to user- requirement fit,
- from standardized Workplace to Customized workplace
- from data as a mere residue of application to data as the fabric of consumer insight.
The new IT renders organizations capable of harnessing technology for rapid learning, experimentation and constant innovation.
CHANGING USER EXPECTATIONS
The enterprise workplace of the future will be core to business strategy, ready to offer an increasingly mobile workforce, an element of choice in workplaces and devices. At the same time, the enterprise will be future ready to attract, recruit and retain its next generation knowledge workers—the Gen Y into its workforce. According to one of the recently published reports, Gen Y Will Reinvent Outsourcing Published: 8 April 2013, Gartner predicts, that 2025, up to 75% of an organization's workforce will come from what sociologists call Generation Y. “That's why organizations should start now to look into the changes coming from an increasing percentage of employees that prioritize media freedom, device flexibility and mobility over salary.”
