Keeping the global ‘lifelines’ running!
At HCL, it is not just our business but our social responsibility to ensure that our customers, particularly those delivering critical services—such as healthcare, pharmacy, food supply and distribution, and civic amenities such as power, safety and governance—remain up and running with the requisite IT support as the world battles the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.
With several G100 clients in the Life Sciences & Healthcare space, we have been pushing the pedal in supporting them, enabling their employees and our staff supporting their IT to work remotely, building capacity through a swift scale-up of their patient-facing applications, provisioning additional Tech capacity for new clinical trials, accelerating in-flight trials, as well as building-up IT infrastructure for expanded capacity in hospitals and facilities treating COVID-19 patients.
For instance, for one of our clinical trial customers, we are enabling virtual trials leveraging remote patient–doctor visits and digital interactions to ensure a scaled and seamless study across the globe. Similarly, we have been mounting a proactive campaign for some of our healthcare facility customers to innovate on their patient-connect processes—such as increasing e-enrolment of senior patients, remote approval of drugs by HCPs, and robust BCP deployment for critical hospital management applications.
And we are doing this within the perimeters of the most stringent security and compliance benchmarks, despite the crunch in human resource capacity due to the COVID-19 lockdown in several major countries of our operations.
