WOMEN LEAD AUSTRALIA
Women Lead Australia
Australia has a long way to go when it comes to women in corporate leadership, with only 12 women CEOs in the ASX 200 and with a pay gap of 18%. In fact, statistics suggest that the gap between male and female employment rates is a key factor preventing a rise in Australia's GDP and economic activity.
In 2015, we took our first step towards solving this problem. We launched Women Lead Australia, a 1:1 mentoring program for female executives in Australia. Over 13 weeks, Australia’s top leaders interacted with and mentored aspiring women leaders, who, by the end of the program, were ready to take their careers to new heights.
Now, to take the next big leap, we’re launching Women Lead Australia Chapter 2. And we invite you to be a part of the journey. Through our combined efforts, we are confident that Australia will see a second wave of capable women leaders, ready to usher in a new era of equality.
