1.a.
SAP BASIS - System Installation and Configuration: This involves installing and configuring SAP systems, including SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other related components. The consultant sets up and configures SAP landscapes, including development, quality assurance, and production environments.
1.b.
SAP Security and GRC Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP Security and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems such as ERP and financial systems.
2. System Monitoring and Performance Tuning: The consultant monitors system performance and conducts regular health checks to ensure optimal performance. They also perform performance tuning and optimization to address any bottlenecks or issues.
3. User Administration and Security: Managing user accounts, roles, and authorizations to ensure secure access to SAP systems is a key responsibility. The consultant implements and maintains security policies and procedures to protect data and system integrity.
4. System Upgrades and Patch Management: Planning and executing system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to keep SAP systems up-to-date is another important task. The consultant ensures compatibility and stability of the system during and after upgrades.
5. Backup and Recovery: Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and system availability is crucial. The consultant performs regular backups and tests recovery procedures to ensure they work as expected.
6. Transport Management: Managing SAP transports to move configuration changes and custom developments between different environments is part of the role. The consultant ensures proper version control and documentation of transport requests.
7. Disaster Recovery and High Availability: Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity is essential. The consultant implements high availability solutions to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
8. Collaboration and Support: Working closely with other IT teams, including database administrators, network administrators, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and support is a key responsibility. The consultant provides technical support and troubleshooting for SAP-related issues.
9. Communication: Effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and alignment is important.
10.Problem-Solving: Quickly identifying issues and developing effective solutions to ensure smooth operations is a critical skill.
11.Team Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery is essential.
- To design and develop new tools as per the client s requirements andor customize the existing tools.
- To lead the technical design , ensuring alignment with business requirements, industry standards, and best practices, while determining the optimal configuration of modules, databases, interfaces, and integrations to support business processes.
- To prepare capability presentations, assessments, proposal preparation.
- To coordinate project management related activities like creating project plans, allocating resources, and coordinating activities among team members and stakeholders.
- To support the professional growth and development of the consulting team members by training, and mentorship.
