Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Network Support Engineer, you will be part of successful Next-gen enterprise having its foundations in concrete futuristic vision and robust network synchronicity. You will deploy real time analytics and insights to help enterprises align network systems with business strategy, thereby improving service experience , you will provide best-of-breed products for transitioning to next-generation IT services. Talent will get hands on experience on HCL's solution suite which comprises of data center networks, wide area networks, and network automation.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures
  • Independently analyze, configure and troubleshoot network connectivity.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components when required
  • Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
  • Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems
  • Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
  • Coordinating computer network access and use
  • Designing, configuring and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software

Technical Proficiencies

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
  • Basic knowledge on networking products such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls etc
  • Basic knowledge of routing protocols, Network Monitoring and remote management tools
  • Basic knowledge in designing network, routing and switching administration including interface configuration, routing protocols, network workflow, ACLs, security requirements and establishing network specifications
  • Basic knowledge in design and implementation of complex network infrastructure solutions on Cisco VOIP, Avaya voice domains, call center technologies and or PBX solutions
  • Basic knowledge in Design , implementation & operational support of VOIP solutions like SMEs , SIP trunking , Analog Gateways (VG310) and SIP gateway
  • Basic knowledge of Dynamic IP Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and ability to independently analyze , configure and troubleshoot network connectivity
  • Basic knowledge with high availability protocols such as HSRP, VRRP
  • Basic knowledge in Network security device and Configure firewalls appliances
  • Basic understanding of functioning of different Networking technologies and topological
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  • Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection
