The Business Scenario

 

The bank currently has 16 Salesforce.com instances spread across Australia and NZ. These instances are owned and independently managed by Business, BU IT teams and 3rd party vendors. As a result of this there were non compliance both at a process and technology level. The bank wanted to assess these instances for compliance with defined Enterprise Usage (EU) policy.

Our Approach

  • In depth assessment of each SFDC instance, based on >130 objective questions
  • Evaluation parameters for assessment included (i) Risk and Compliance Assessment; (ii) Functions, Customers and Users; (iii) Data categories, Back up, Storage; (iv) Security and Access Control; (v) QA and Change Control; (vi) Governance and Processes – 3rd party and internal; (vii) Procurement, Customization and Operations
  • Analysis of the responses provided by stakeholders and preparation of the following reports:
  • Non Compliance Report: to identify deviations from the EU policy
  • Recommendations Report: to address the identified areas of non compliance
  • In addition, updates to the EU Policy were also recommended with respect to Salesforce.com
