The customer is headquartered in London, operates in more than seventy countries and a leading player in Asia. The bank’s strengths and expertise are in consumer, corporate, and institutional banking, and on the provision of treasury services. The majority of the bank’s profits come from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Business Requirements

Customer's Corporate and Institutional Clients use the Bank’s Internet Banking site for reporting and transaction initiation. It combines convenience and security in one comprehensive and easy to use platform. The application’s users have access to Cash Management, Custody and Continuous Linked Settlement Solutions as well as Trade, Lending and FX information that leverages on the bank’s extensive international network. The Bank wanted to upgrade the above application to enable Private Labeling support and enhanced common business services.

HCL’s Solution

The application is widely deployed across the Bank and had established over 6000 users. HCL upgraded current application platform to newer architecture to enable Private Labeling support and enhanced common business services of the Bank. HCL enhanced the user interface to include trade products and services. Some of the key features of the upgrade are:

  • Single Sign on: Single sign on provides common login across all the applications accessed by the user
  • Menu Generation: Integrated menu across all channel applications to the end user based on his/her access control
  • Message Center: Upon successful login, user is redirected to a landing/home page, where he/she can retrieve messages/alerts that are generated across all channel applications. This service provides hosting of messages in a central location, which are pushed from channel application via API
  • Home Page Integration Home/Landing page of the application provides transaction statistics, quick balances from channel applications. This services will integrate data from channel application into the home page
  • Use of application connectivity for synchronous communication mechanism to exchange data
  • Performed Vulnerability Testing to identify application level security issues in the application and in the environment
