Part of a Hong Kong conglomerate operating over 6,200 retail stores from health and beauty, luxury perfumeries and cosmetics to food, electronics, fine wine and airport retail outlets.

The Challenge

  • To capture the basic information of employees in the store (full time or part time)
  • Prepare roster information (pre-schedule period and actual working period)
  • To capture schedule description by the means of duty types and defining user-defined shifts and calculate annual leave schedule (full / part time)
  • To calculate over time and outstanding leave balance based on employee type
  • For easy accessibility on Intranet to store manager/HR manager

HCL’s Solution
HCL developed an application, which supported the following functionalities:

  • It helps in preparing a roster for each employee one week in advance by the store instructor
  • It provides the functionality of online reports for roster planned, holiday summary, OT calculations to both HR and store manager
  • It also helps the HR management system to get the employees details store wise
