AIRCRAFT FIELD SUPPORT ENGINEER (AFSE)

Abstract

Aircraft are extremely complex products comprised of many subsystems, components and parts. The conception, design, production, operation and maintenance of aircraft are influenced by many factors, including technical, economic, organizational, financial, and regulatory. Aircraft service providers need field support engineer teams to support their manufacturing product customers. Service providers also take proactive steps to prevent incidents. Every aircraft industry offers their customers field support for their products, based on contract specifications.

Excerpts from the Paper

Aircraft service providers are required to keep field engineers available to their customers for product support. Service providers must maintain their brand name in a competitive market, and need to work in a variety of ways to keep their customers happy. Service providers must identify experienced field engineers, and hoseengineers must be trained on their products and have the ability to resolve problems under any circumstances. Field engineers should follow source product guidance, understand the failures and meet customer deadlines. Field engineers must have good communication skills and be ready to travel extensively at any time. Updating the field developments on a timely basis to the service provider is a must
