Embedded DevOps is embraced by a lot of system-on-chip manufactures and embedded-system industries. DevOps standardized processes speed up the product time-to-market, improve collaboration, and help create faster releases with no-wait time. There are a lot of challenges and pitfalls that embedded organizations will face in their DevOps automation inclusion. The point of view presented in this whitepaper aims to recommend the key DevOps practices that must be adopted in the embedded domain to address the challenges and finally introduce a framework we have built for DevOps adoption in the embedded systems domain. Few pilot implementations in different industry verticals are done to gain insight in the real-time challenges of incorporating DevOps automation techniques in the embedded project.
