The Path to Zero-Touch Networks

Telecom networks are moving from rule-based automation towards systems that can configure, optimise and heal themselves with limited human intervention. AI-driven closed loops are already improving fault management, energy efficiency and service assurance in selected network domains.

Most operators, however, remain some distance from end-to-end autonomy. Progress is constrained by fragmented data, multi-vendor integration, legacy systems and the need for greater trust in machine-led decisions.

As agentic AI enables networks to reason and act with greater independence, accountability and human oversight become critical. This session examines where network autonomy is delivering value and what is required to move from isolated automation towards responsible self-management.
