BARCELONA, Spain and NOIDA, India, March 03 —HCLTech, a leading global technology company, announced the inclusion of three network automation RAN applications (rApp) in the rApp Directory by Ericsson, the catalog of commercially available rApps for the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP). The additions expand HCLTech’s contribution to open, standards-based RAN automation and empower global communication service providers to accelerate network automation with seamless discoverable solutions.

HCLTech’s listed rApps include:

    • Traffic Balancer rApp: Analyzes network conditions and redistributes traffic across available paths to minimize congestion and reduce latency
    • Energy Optimizer rApp: Scales base station resources during low‑traffic periods to improve energy efficiency without compromising service quality
    • Network Slice Optimizer rApp: Allocates physical resource blocks to support multiple 5G network slices with distinct service-level requirements

“These rApps highlight HCLTech’s commitment to productizing network automation within standardized, open ecosystems,” said Hari Sadarahalli, Corporate Vice President and Global Head, Engineering and R&D Services, HCLTech. “Leveraging Ericsson’s EIAP framework, we are better able to deliver modular, interoperable solutions that accelerate deployment, simplify integration and drive efficiency across 4G and 5G networks — helping operators scale 5G and embrace autonomous networks with trusted, real-world-ready automation.”
