Qualification Required:

• BE/B. Tech/M. Tech/MCA educational background with 10 – 15 years of experience

Roles And Responsibilities

• Must have 10 to 15 years of experience in Design and development of Layer2/Layer3 Switching Platforms and Protocols
• Excellent experience in C programming and System Software development in Linux
• Expert in C/Data structures coding and Debugging skills in multi-core/multi-threaded environment on Linux
• Working knowledge of networking protocols
  • Layer-2 technologies: STP, MSTP, ARP, RARP, VLAN, 802.x – Ethernet, Q-in-Q etc.
  • Layer-3 technologies: IPv4 and IPv6, Routing protocols such as static routing, RIP, OSPFv2/3 and BGP, MPLS, Multicast – IGMPv2/3, PIM-SM, PIM-DM, MLDv1/2 etc.
  • Application protocols like DHCP, TFTP, Telnet, SNTP, Timep SNMP etc.
  • Network Security: 802.1x, Radius, TACACS, Web-Auth, Mac-Auth, SSH/SSL, IPsec/MacSec etc.
• Good understanding of Real Time Operating System (RTOS) like Linux, Green Hills, VxWorks etc. is preferred
• Knowledge of ASIC architectures (like Broadcom based) is a plus
• Experience with Forwarding plane software, Broadcom SDK (Jericho+ chipset) highly desired.
• Experience with Network Development Tools - Sniffer, Traffic Generators, IXIA, Spirent etc. is preferred
• Good Network troubleshooting ability encompassing: OS, Network Stack, Sniffers, switches, external network is preferred
• Experience on both Platform dependent and Platform independent side of work is a plus.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise:

• Good experience in Design and development of Layer2/Layer3 Switching Platforms and Protocols
• Excellent experience in C programming and System Software development in Linux
• System Software development in Core Networking Domain. Preferably in Layer2/Layer3 Switching.
• Good written, verbal communication, analytical and problem solving skills is a MUST.
