By being locally incorporated in each country, HCL is able to serve customers as a local business, with all attendant benefits. It is also a tax-paying citizen, conforming to all local laws–and with a significant global workforce. We believe that every part of the world has different ways of doing business and, therefore, unless we make the investment of becoming a local player, the move from being a mere vendor to a value-creating partner would be a difficult transition.
