Spanning 25 years, the HCL-Microsoft relationship is one of the oldest and most strategic for HCL. With a focus to deliver world class business solutions on leading Microsoft technologies, this relationship is creating tremendous value for our joint customers.
Ever since its formation, the relationship has achieved significant success and many accolades. It commenced with product engineering, moved on to IT implementation, and thereafter to joint go-to-market solutions across industries and geographies.
Today, this 360 degree relationship is managed as a Global Strategic Alliance, and governed at the highest levels, influencing revenues across multiple business lines at HCL. A dedicated Global Microsoft Centre of Excellence with regional coverage supports this relationship, providing thought leadership, solution innovation, and deep field engagement. HCL’s partnership with Microsoft is managed out of the Enterprise Partner Group (EPG).

HCL is a strategic customer of Microsoft and has deployed a number of its internal systems on Microsoft technologies. HCL’s internal productivity platforms like Myhcl and Wiki portal are deployed on Microsoft platforms.
HCL as an R&D Engineering partner for Microsoft
For over nine years, through 2000 dedicated engineers working in multiple R&D Engineering engagements, HCL has been providing value to Microsoft, and this has resulted in HCL becoming the largest Test Vendor and the only Digital Efficiency Program partner for Microsoft. HCL has signed 4 global service center agreements with Microsoft in the product development process across the areas of application development, product engineering, test, support, and program management. HCL is working with Microsoft as a premier engineering partner across their groups such as the Online Services Division, Server & Tools Business, Microsoft Office Division, and Interactive and Entertainment Division. HCL has also partnered in the Digital Efficiency Program initiative with Microsoft to provide value added engineering solutions and efficiencies in the digital marketing space. This has helped in a cost efficiency gain of more than 30% in the digital marketing spend for Microsoft.
In order to maintain high confidentiality and delivery excellence, HCL has built three Microsoft IT approved Vendor Offsite Facilities (VOF) at Redmond, Noida, and Hyderabad–leading to a constantly improving customer satisfaction score (CSAT). Microsoft recently acknowledged HCL’s excellent VOF operations by awarding it the “Top5 Vendors Award – FY12”. HCL’s competencies and excellent engineering services track record has made it a very strong presence within Microsoft, helping the company develop, test and support nearly all its key products and services.

Together with Microsoft, HCL has proactively developed solutions and IPs on Microsoft stack thereby creating value for its customers. HCL’s unique solution-led approach with industry expertise across financial services, healthcare, consumer services and manufacturing enables multiple successful joint IPs/engagements across geographies.
HCL has a Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) with Microsoft and is one of the leading Global System Integrator for MS Dynamics. HCL works with Microsoft globally across several chosen accounts for joint engagement, delivering MS technologies and platforms.

FinEdge is a customer experience management solution built over the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. It is a culmination of real world industry inputs from financial services organizations and is designed to offer multi-channel banking experience to mid and large-sized banks across the world, by incorporating innovative features across sales, marketing, customer and service modules. It helps banks deliver an actionable 360 degree view and profitably manage customer relationships while enhancing engagement levels across various product functions. It effectively supports sales planning, cross selling and prospecting, referral and incentive management, marketing campaigns and case management across multiple banking products at customer, account and transaction levels. It also offers significant time to market advantage over other products, and increases customer revenue and profitability.
