Key Responsibilities
- Define and prioritize the product backlog for trade finance initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to guide development teams toward timely delivery.
- Manage a team of product analysts, developers, and stakeholders, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and client feedback sessions to identify opportunities for product innovation in trade finance (e.g., blockchain integration, AI-driven risk assessment).
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure products adhere to global regulations (e.g., ICC rules, Sanctions, AML/KYC).
- Drive digital transformation projects, such as API integrations for seamless trade finance ecosystems and automation of manual processes.
- Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., adoption rates, revenue impact, risk exposure) and iterate based on data-driven insights.
- Represent Citi in industry forums, client meetings, and regulatory discussions to influence trade finance standards.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for product development projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in the financial industry, with at least 10 years focused on banking and trade finance.
- Proven hands-on knowledge of trade finance business processes, including import/export financing, documentary collections, open account trade, and supply chain solutions.
- Strong team management skills, with experience leading diverse, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep expertise in the banking domain, including core banking systems, transaction banking, and international trade operations.
- Demonstrated success in product ownership or management roles, preferably in a global bank or fintech firm.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements or team collaborations.
Kompensation & Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
