Anoop Tiwari, a Masters in HR Management and with a Degree in Law, has been with HCL for the past 25 years. During this time, he has made significant contributions in diverse HR and Business Management roles.

In his current role, Anoop heads two business-critical functions at HCL - the Enterprise Performance Optimization (EPO) function, and the internal IT function. EPO is responsible for providing strategic direction at Corporate and SBU levels to ensure that HCL keeps gaining profitable market share in the industry. This is done through focused interventions in strategy development, strategy translation, organization alignment, operations planning, reviews, and corrective action. EPO is aligned to four sub functions – Sales and Marketing, Delivery and Operations, and Finance and Talent Management. Through the CIO function, Anoop has led a very successful Cloud adoption strategy in HCL, optimizing running costs while significantly increasing the function’s service delivery capability. His CIO team has adopted SMAC technologies to inject speed into several business processes - an example being the mobile enablement of applications.

In the past, Anoop led the integration process for one of the largest acquisitions that the Indian IT industry has seen till date – HCL’s acquisition of AXON. Today, the enterprise application business of HCL is rated in the leadership quadrant by leading industry analysts, worldwide. It is also one of the most forward looking businesses at HCL, encompassing new services around Cloud and Mobility.

Anoop has played a pivotal role in HCL’s transformational journey and in defining the “Employees First Customers Second” philosophy. He evangelized this philosophy extensively, both externally and internally. He went on to head the Global Business HR function with the primary objective to “Change the Business” by focusing on creating a high performance business development organization while ensuring smooth people transition in the mega deals that HCL won.
