Senior Technical Lead - Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
Job Summary
The Senior Technical Lead in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) plays a pivotal role in managing complex projects by providing expert technical guidance to the development team. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions, optimizing processes, and enhancing team capabilities to align with the organization s objectives.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Provide Technical Guidance And Solutions By Implementing Best Practices In Design For Manufacturability, Ensuring That Product Designs Meet Manufacturability, Cost-Efficiency, And Quality Standards Throughout The Development Cycle.
2. Conduct Comprehensive Code Reviews And Establish Quality Assurance Processes Focused On Dfm Principles, Ensuring Adherence To Coding Standards And Optimizing Performance For Manufacturable Components.
3. Ensure Process Compliance Within The Assigned Module While Participating As A Technical Consultant In Feasibility Studies, Evaluating Technical Alternatives, And Assessing Architectural Best Practices For Manufacturability.
4. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Define Project Scope, Objectives, And Deliverables Related To Dfm Initiatives, And Prepare Detailed Status Reports To Minimize Risk Exposure And Facilitate Timely Closure Of Escalations.Skill Requirements
1. In-Depth Understanding Of Design For Manufacturability Principles And Their Application In Product Development.
2. Advanced Proficiency In Component Engineering And Plm (Product Lifecycle Management) Tools And Methodologies.
3. Solid Experience In Conducting Code Reviews And Implementing Quality Assurance Standards Relevant To Manufacturability.
4. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills With The Ability To Assess Technical Risks And Propose Effective Solutions.Certification
1. Certifications In Lean Manufacturing Or Six Sigma Are Optional But Valuable For This Position.
2. Professional Certifications Related To Product Lifecycle Management (Plm) Are Recommended For Enhancing Expertise In This Role.
Kompensation & Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
