Design Lead - Windchill
Job Summary
The Design Lead is responsible for overseeing the design team within the Architecture/Design work area, with a focus on Windchill as the primary skill. This role is critical for setting design standards, contributing to design strategy, and ensuring alignment between design efforts and business objectives. The Design Lead will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate design thinking into product development, driving innovation and maintaining high-quality design outputs.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate With Key Stakeholders To Understand Business Objectives And Integrate Design Thinking Into Product Development Using Windchill, Ensuring Alignment With Organizational Goals.
2. Lead A Team Of Designers, Providing Guidance On Windchill Best Practices And Ensuring The Delivery Of High-Quality Design Solutions That Meet Business Requirements.
3. Present Design Concepts And Strategies To Stakeholders, Utilizing Windchill Functionalities To Gather Feedback And Iterate On Designs Effectively.
4. Establish And Maintain Design Standards, Guidelines, And Best Practices Within The Windchill Platform To Ensure Consistency And Quality Across All Design Projects.
5. Stay Abreast Of Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies Related To Windchill And Plm Systems To Drive Innovation And Excellence In Design Practices.Skill Requirements
1. Strong Understanding Of Windchill And Its Applications In Product Lifecycle Management.
2. Solid Knowledge Of Design Processes And Methodologies, With An Emphasis On Integrating Design Thinking Into Development.
3. Familiarity With Design Standards And Best Practices Relevant To Plm And Windchill.
4. Experience In Stakeholder Collaboration And Feedback Integration.Certification
1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Windchill Certified Professional, Certified Product Design And Development Professional (Cpdd).

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
