Cloud computing is a style of computing in which scalable and elastic IT-enabled capabilities are delivered as a service using internet technologies. Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and intelligence—over the cloud to offer faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale. Most cloud computing services fall into four broad categories: infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), serverless and software as a service (SaaS).
クラウドベースのサービスとは、サードパーティやITサービス・プロバイダーを通じて、インターネットやクラウド上で提供されるサービスとしてのリソース、アプリケーション、ITのことである。これらのサービスは、専用ネットワーク、パブリック・クラウド、プライベート・クラウド、ハイブリッド・クラウドからアクセスすることができ、多くの場合、使用量に応じて支払いが行われる。クラウドベースのサービスは、完全なアプリケーションから仮想デスクトップまで幅広く、社内のハードウェアやインフラを必要とせず、手頃な価格で柔軟に利用できるように設計されている。
