Ashish Kumar Gupta
Ashish Kumar Gupta is the Chief Growth Officer, Europe and Africa for Diversified Industries at HCL Technologies. Under his leadership, HCL has become one of the fastest growing technology companies in Europe.
Within HCL, his career has been focused on starting new businesses and making these successful across India, the US, and since 2004, Europe and Africa. Among the largest of these was the conceptualization and execution of Remote Infrastructure Management Services that has helped HCL achieve a dominant position in the market.
Over the last five years, Ashish has been focused on mergers and acquisitions in Europe, leveraging the power of Data and Platforms to create new business models with clients that have helped create new revenue models. He has been instrumental in creating key alliances and partnerships, including the HCL-Cambridge Service Alliance, and HCL’s digital transformation partnership with Manchester United. In 2019, Ashish was nominated to the board of TechUK, and the World Economic Forum (WEF)—European Regional Business Council focused on collaboration between Corporations and Start-ups, boosting digital education and upskilling.
Ashish is widely respected as a forthright advocate for Business with a Purpose, a passionate believer in Employees First, Customer Second, and one of the more disruptive voices on topics such as Direct to Consumer, IT Outsourcing, Cloud, and the need to create strategic partnerships with clients. He has spoken at many prestigious industry platforms and continues to drive thought leadership for HCL.
An engineering graduate with a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Ashish lives in London with his wife and two daughters. As a leader, he is passionate about the art and science of creating high-performance teams and leaders who dream big.
He likes reading, hiking, and innovation in business models. He is enthusiastic about HCL contributing to society and is actively working to enable HCL to develop partnerships with organizations such as the Prince’s Trust in the UK, and other geographies it works in, in Europe and Africa. In 2020, he was invited to be part of the Prince’s Trust Leadership and Technology Group.
