Job Description: Ctera Engineer (L3)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior CTERA Engineer (L3) to lead and execute CTERA migration from on-premises to CTERA clous and hybrid cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in CTERA product and services, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Extensive experience in file server migrations from on-premises infrastructure to CTERA Cloud and hybrid environments.
2. Expertise in planning, executing, and validating large-scale file data migrations to CTERA Edge Filers and cloud storage platforms (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage).
3. Provide end-to-end CTERA solution support, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of CTERA Portal, Edge Filers, and CTERA Agents.
4. Perform detailed pre-migration assessments, data validation, cutover planning, and post-migration health checks to ensure smooth transitions.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to file synchronization, permissions, networking, and database performance (PostgreSQL, SQLite).
6. Deliver enterprise support for production environments, ensuring high availability and performance of CTERA services.
7. Monitor and analyze system logs, performance metrics, and alerts to proactively detect and resolve issues.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement customized migration strategies based on client requirements.
9. Provide technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents.
10. Hands-on experience with SMB/NFS protocols, file systems (NTFS, EXT4), and network diagnostics tools (Wireshark, TCPDump).
11. Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architecture and integration of CTERA solutions within AWS, Azure, and VMware ecosystems.
12. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale CTERA components and supporting microservices in cloud environments.
13. Ability to design and manage containerized workloads for supporting CTERA infrastructure, improving deployment flexibility and operational efficiency.
14. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in containerized environments for continuous integration and delivery of CTERA-related solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Min 10 years of hands-on experience of handling large-scale environments.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex technical projects.
3. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, or similar).
4. Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for seamless application deployment.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
7. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
8. Relevant certifications in DevOps, Ansible, or cloud platforms.

- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions / Reopen Cases
- To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
- To independently resolve tickets & esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
- To provide support for on call escalations /L3 level support and doing incident & problem management
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update & management, Training freshers, coaching analysts & conducting interviews/participation in hiring drives.
