Stellar Kim Tucker
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Initiatives
Stellar Kim Tucker is the Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Development and Strategic Initiatives for HCL Technologies. She leads the company’s inorganic growth efforts and key strategic initiatives through sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, minority investments, carveouts and partnerships around the world. Stellar also manages the company’s relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, and advisory firms.
With more than 25 years of experience, Stellar spent most of her career in investment banking at firms such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc., and UBS Investment Bank where she led the firms’ efforts in the services sector, globally. Throughout her career, she has been an advisor to C-suite executives and Boards of Directors, and is recognized for being a strategic thinker, financial and M&A expert, and a team and relationship builder. She has executed over $45 billion in transactions over the course of her investment banking career in the form of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and equity and debt financings, both in the US and internationally, for corporate and private equity clients.
Stellar has led efforts in mentoring, recruitment, and diversity throughout her career. She also has significant experience in financial management, having been the Chief Financial Officer of a hedge fund seeded by Julian Robertson of Tiger Management, with responsibilities in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audit, and tax.
Stellar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University, and her MBA from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a member of Northwestern University’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Board of Visitors.
