Frequently Asked Questions about Tech2Sustain
Tech2Sustain is our platform for sparking meaningful sustainability conversations between organizations committed to real ESG progress. Through interactive roundtables, in-person events and collaborative dialogue, we bring together industry leaders, experts and policymakers to share practical insights, uncover solutions and transform sustainability from an aspiration into an achievable business reality.
Our Tech2Sustain roundtables span multiple sectors, including retail, consumer packaged goods, life sciences, healthcare and hospitality. We deliberately engage diverse industries because sustainability challenges—from supply chain integration to conscious consumerism—cut across sectors, and cross-industry dialogue consistently produces the most innovative, transferable solutions for ESG transformation.
Tech2Sustain operates across both digital and in-person formats. Beyond our interactive online platform and video roundtables, we actively participate in live events, including our collaboration with The Design Museum in London for the Offbeat Sari exhibition. This blended approach ensures our sustainability conversations meaningfully reach and engage diverse global audiences.
Ahead of COP28 in the UAE, Santhosh Jayaram, our Global Head of Sustainability, published a critical analysis highlighting that the world was not on track to meet Paris Agreement targets. He outlined the priority outcomes COP28 needed to deliver, reflecting our commitment to informed, authoritative sustainability leadership beyond our own organizational boundaries.

Our sustainability roundtable events bring together a diverse mix of industry leaders, technology experts, policymakers and enterprise decision-makers. This intentional cross-sector representation ensures conversations go beyond theory—participants share real-world experience, challenge assumptions and collectively define strategies that make sustainable business transformation genuinely actionable for organizations of every scale.
Session 1 focuses on sustainability within the retail and CPG industry, exploring six critical areas: technology's role in sustainable consumerism, achieving sustainable business models, value chain integration, management's leadership responsibilities, sustainability in customer experience and building end-consumer awareness. Together, these segments provide a comprehensive, practical framework for retail sustainability transformation.
Technology is central to every sustainability conversation we facilitate at HCLTech. From sustainable computing and supply chain optimization to right-technology adoption, our roundtables consistently demonstrate that the right digital tools accelerate ESG outcomes. Technology doesn't just support sustainability—it fundamentally transforms how organizations measure, manage and achieve their sustainability commitments at scale.
Leadership accountability is a recurring theme across our Tech2Sustain roundtables. From Session 1's exploration of management responsibility to Session 5's direct messages for tomorrow's leaders, we consistently emphasize that sustainable transformation requires executives to define sustainability's strategic value, champion cultural change and balance stakeholder interests, making leadership both a catalyst and a cornerstone of ESG success.
The Offbeat Sari was a groundbreaking exhibition we co-created with The Design Museum in London, celebrating the sari as an icon of India's vibrant cultural innovation. Held in September 2023, the showcase exemplified our broader sustainability philosophy, honoring tradition, championing thoughtful design and demonstrating how cultural heritage and contemporary innovation can powerfully coexist.
