The Challenge
The customer had an competitive requirement for the production of a 10GE aggregator board - to have a first-mover advantage. The board based on the control processor MPC 8240 aggregates 12 x 1GE to provide 10GE - and provides support for 8 GMAC interfaces through the midplane based architecture.
