Therefore, as with so many other aspects of our lives, technical teams will have to be ready for a ‘new normal’ in how they plan and deliver their current project work. We may have noticed that the speed of digitalization has accelerated since the start of the pandemic. Local grocers and big retailers have adopted shared platforms, scientists continuously working with data models to provide actionable insights to law-makers. Data and systems are helping collaboration at all levels – city, county, state, country and international community. Social networking platforms are used to inform masses on precautions and various measures. All of those are enabled by faster adoption of efficient (fit for purpose) technology enabled systems.

Digitalization is one of the core tenets way forward.

What an attacker is looking to exploit in a phishing attack is a lack of user knowledge, which makes user awareness the most important step in preventing such breaches. The key component of a successful phishing attack is user interaction. A user clicking on a link, opening an attachment, filling out a form, any such actions. Phishing does not forcibly steal information; it makes the user willingly give out information or creates a way for the attacker to access it. Since the compromise is user- initiated, knowing how to recognize a phishing email and what course of action to take after receiving one are two things that every user must be educated on.
