Chief strategy officer, Verizon
Rima Qureshi is the executive vice-president and chief strategy officer for Verizon. She is responsible for the development and implementation of Verizon's overall corporate strategy, business development, partnerships, strategic investments, and acquisitions.
Before joining Verizon in November 2017, Ms. Qureshi was president and chief executive of Ericsson North America. She has extensive experience in successfully managing various business segments, including sales, product management, operations, and research and development. She also has extensive experience in acquisitions and integration. Her more than two decades of leadership experience in the mobile communications industry include more than 15 years of global experience.
President and chief executive, US and Canada, GE Healthcare
A highly respected and strategic global leader, Everett Cunningham is the president and chief executive of GE Healthcare’s $7bn US and Canada region. Providing the industry’s leading medical imaging, patient monitoring, and life science technologies, GE Healthcare enables precision health in diagnostics, therapeutics, and monitoring through intelligent devices, data analytics, applications, and services. Mr. Cunningham and his team of nearly 8,000 industry experts leverage the capabilities across GE Healthcare to partner with providers and governments to help improve healthcare quality, access, and affordability.
Prior to joining GE Healthcare, Mr. Cunningham served as the senior vice-president, commercial for Quest Diagnostics, responsible for global commercial sales, marketing, and commercial operations. At Quest Diagnostics, he led over 1,500 employees and successfully managed $7.6bn in top-line revenue.
Chief information officer; chief digital officer for Global Markets, US Division, Credit Suisse
Radhika Venkatraman is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse, based in New York. She is Head of Data and Technology for Investment Bank (IB), Risk and Compliance (CRCO), and Credit Suisse Holdings (USA) Inc. and is a member of the IB Management Committee, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer Executive Committee, the IHC Operating Committee and the Group CIO Management Committee.
Radhika leads a global data and technology organization across more than 15 international locations. She oversees the strategy, architecture, design, delivery, and support of all systems and underlying data, infrastructure, and processes. She is one of Credit Suisse’s leading decision-makers in technology, risk and innovation.
Radhika also manages regulatory interactions with the Federal Reserve, Department of Financial Services (DFS), and SEC for all matters of Technology & Data functions related to North American domiciled businesses. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2017, Radhika was the Chief Information Officer of Network and Technology at Verizon, where she worked for 20 years.
Sr. Corporate vice president and global head, Digital & Analytics, HCL Technologies
Anand Birje is responsible for driving the global growth of D&A business encompassing Digital Consulting (Experience Design & Process Consulting), Digital Applications & Platforms, and Business Analytics services at HCL Technologies.
Prior to this role, Anand led HCL’s global corporate development, strategic partnerships, and Next-Gen, ITO, and digital services. He was instrumental in multiple HCL acquisitions and investments made across the US and Europe, building in-house capability and establishing a strong foundation for Digital Consulting and UX Design practices. He continues to drive HCL’s engagement in Silicon Valley, forging partnerships within the ecosystem of technology firms, start-ups, and venture funds. He serves on the governance team for HCL’s investment in Morado Venture Fund, an early-stage investor in enterprise technology start-ups.
As a founding member of HCL’s Infrastructure Services Division in North America, Anand helped galvanize the business from $50mn to $2.5+bn within a decade. Anand’s passion for technology and business is a driving force in his work. This includes collaborations with Columbia Business School and UC Irvine to develop industry-level strategies around digital execution, transformation, and connected-ecosystems. He is a regular attendee at the World Economic Forum, Davos, and a Strategy Officer with its Industry 4.0 and digital workforce groups.
US business editor, The Economist
Vijay Vaitheeswaran is the United States business editor of The Economist. He joined the editorial staff in 1992 as the newspaper’s London-based Latin America writer and opened its first regional bureau in Mexico City.
As an award-winning senior correspondent, he opened the magazine’s Shanghai bureau in 2012 and was the China business editor and bureau chief until mid-2017. He also serves as chairman of The Economist Innovation Summit, a provocative series of global conferences on innovation held annually in Chicago, Berlin, and Hong Kong.
Vijay is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an advisor on sustainability and innovation to the World Economic Forum. His commentary has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and New York Times. His latest book (published by HarperCollins) is “Need, Speed and Greed: How the New Rules of Innovation Can Transform Businesses, Propel Nations to Greatness, and Tame the World’s Most Wicked Problems.” He previously co-wrote “ZOOM”, with Iain Carson, and “Power to the People”, two award-winning books about the future of cars and energy.
