As part of the strategic partnership, HCL and Rockwell have collaborated on the delivery and integration of Rockwell Automation software and solutions by HCL's Manufacturing Solution experts. While building competency in Rockwell Automation manufacturing execution systems (MES) and solutions, HCL is helping manufacturers build successful, plant-wide information applications using the FactoryTalk integrated production and performance software suite. The ESP program provides manufacturers with a resource-rich network of information systems professionals to help drive better manufacturing performance by integrating enterprise resource planning (ERP) and plant-floor control and information systems. National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP), the largest and one of the most significant initiatives in Automotive sector so far, represents a unique joining of hands between the Government of India, a number of State Governments and Indian Automotive Industry to create a state of the art Testing, Validation and R&D infrastructure in the country. HCL has signed an exclusive deal with Natrip, iCAT. With Government of India spending heavily on automotive testing infrastructure, we can leverage the partnership to provide type approval and homologation (to Indian regulations) as a service to our global customers. This will be a key service offered to our customers who are looking for support helping them enter emerging markets. Moreover the advanced state of the art labs for PowerTrain, Crash test and safety systems at iCAT can be leveraged by HCL to help address potential opportunities in these areas.
OESA provides a forum for automotive suppliers to address issues of common concern, serving as a resource for industry information and analysis, promoting the interests of the OE supplier community and serving as a voice and positive change agent for the industry. The Original Equipment Suppliers Association provides a strategic forum for the automotive industry's original equipment suppliers. Membership encompasses suppliers of components, modules, systems, materials and equipment used by the original equipment automotive industry. HCL is an affiliate member with OESA and will provide thought leadership by participating in various events organized by OESA.
GENIVI is a non-profit industry alliance committed to driving the broad adoption of an In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform. GENIVI will accomplish this by aligning requirements, delivering reference implementations, offering certification programs and fostering a vibrant open source IVI community. HCL is an associate member with the GENIVI alliance and is poised to develop solutions and frameworks based on the GENIVI standards. This Open source platform will help in reduction of development cycle owing to reusable components, provides time to market advantage and also reduction in cost.
