HCLTech partnered with Nordson Medical to support development across key engineering disciplines. Fully programmable and compliant with global safety standards, the MPS combines flexibility with clinical precision to redefine surgical safety.

The Challenge
Rising surgical demands, outdated systems
As cardiovascular disease continues to rise—driven by aging populations, sedentary lifestyles and increasing comorbidities—cardiac surgeries such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) are becoming more challenging and complex. These high-risk procedures demand exceptional precision, adaptability and real-time control to ensure patient safety.
Traditional cardioplegia systems, however, are constrained by outdated technology and manual limitations, making them inadequate for today’s evolving surgical needs. Recognizing this gap, Nordson Medical initiated the development of a next-generation solution to bring greater intelligence, reliability and clinical adaptability into the cardiac operating room, partnering with HCLTech to support execution.

Working in partnership with Nordson Medical, HCLTech’s Engineering and R&D Services team in Chennai supported the development of a digitally intelligent platform designed to enhance safety, accuracy and efficiency in cardiac surgery.
