Job description:
In depth knowledge and understanding of tools, processes, the environment for SQL Server
SQL Server on Windows Servers
SQL Server Management Studio
SQL Server Reporting Services
SQL Server Integration Services
Database and object creation and updating
Database backup and recovery
Usage and understanding of PowerShell
Windows Server Remote Desktop and Windows Server Core
Handles and resolves database and environment problems and issues
Job failures
Performance issues
Connection issues
Space issues
Develops understanding of Agile techniques, activities, and DevOps methods
Uses a working knowledge of SQL Server to complete assignments and resolve daily problems and requests
Diagnoses and resolves incidents and problems within area of expertise
Assists with developing or modifying database policies, guidelines, standards, procedures, and documentation as required
Provides solutions to business partners by acting as a point of contact on data and database issues
Provides technical guidance, training and may delegate work to others
Conducts query reviews to ensure efficient database access, and troubleshoots data integrity and replication issues
Drives, embraces, and enables an environment of change fostering innovation, championing collaboration, and ideas
Enables solution modernization activities through design and development-related work items and architectural engagement
Conducts research and integrates industry best practices into processes and potential solutions
Will need to create MEMCM packages to execute SQL Server Updates across all existing SQL Servers
- To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue
- To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time
- To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
- Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts
- To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
