Job description:
As a Sr. Tech Support Specialist you would work as a part of a dynamic team involved with providing technical support and issue resolution to internal and external customers which may include users of all types and skill levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and repair or escalate as needed.
- Image, configure, and install new hire equipment per outlined procedures.
- deliver and install printers, peripherals, and other hardware as needed.
- recover hardware from terminated employees.
- Use remote control tool to assist end users when needed
- Provide an accurate record of each call in incident management tracking tool
- Demonstrate a depth and breadth of knowledge/skills in own area and is often able to apply these outside of own function
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively identifies solutions
- Plan, prioritize, organize and complete work to meet established objectives
Requirements (A bachelor's degree in a technical field can be substituted for up to 2 years of technical experience):
- 2 or more years of experience with PC operating systems
- 2 or more years of experience in a customer service role
- 2 or more years of Technology Support experience
- Experience with MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with basic Networking Principles, Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP), Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
Assets
- Bachelor's Degree or higher level of education preferred
- Information Technology Certifications preferred
- Computing Technology Industry Association A+ Certification preferred
- To clearly understand the client's cybersecurity environment and respective product.
- To monitor, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity issues and related monitoring tools
- To analyse and validate cybersecurity incidents in-detail and help the L3 team with RCAordata or logs collection
- To enable knowledge transferortrainings through creationor maintenance of configuration documents, test plans, operational manuals and provide operational training to L1 team.
- To analyse and fine-tune cybersecurity policies, participate in cybersecurity review calls pertaining to change requests and recommendations on cybersecurity policy changes.
- To implement changes, monitor security device performance and implements performance tuning when necessary.
- To prepare analyses and reports to highlight the project progressorchallenges and ensure quality and accuracy to the client
