HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company, has extended its relationship with member-driven organization, The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), with a multiyear agreement to provide its Integration-as-a-Service offering.

HCL has helped uplift RACV’s digital platform by enabling a state-of-the-art digital backbone that promotes self-service, an increased digital footprint and a seamless experience for 2.1 million RACV members across Victoria. As a motoring club, RACV is a member-driven organization that provides a range of products and services in motoring and mobility, home, leisure, financial services and general insurance.

The engagement builds on HCL’s ability in establishing a resilient and future-proof integration platform on MuleSoft and migration of more than 300 complex services and business processes from legacy stack to this new integration platform. The Integration-as-a-Service platform bundles various accelerators around code automation and monitoring, which contributes toward a more stable IT environment and markedly improves the performance and resilience of RACV’s member-facing services.

As part of the renewed relationship, HCL’s API-led (application programming interface) architecture will reduce complexity within RACV’s technology environment and help RACV accelerate deployment of new features and fixes. Real-time advance monitoring, automated outage recovery and an accelerated development approach will further lead to an enhanced experience for the members.

“The HCL Technologies team provides us with great expertise and insights and have been both proactive and responsive in how they have worked with us to deliver a fantastic experience to our members,” said Idris Shamsi, Chief Information Officer, RACV.

“RACV is a key strategic partner for us and our engagement with them is a testament to our continued growth in the region,” said Michael Horton, Executive Vice President, HCL Technologies. “We are excited to support RACV with our delivery capabilities and regional service leadership in their migration journey as we strongly believe digital transformation is a collaborative process.”
